Tank

Noun: A collection of classes in typical MMORPGs, such as the warrior, that can take a lot of damage and have abilities to generate high aggro in mobs. Stargate Worlds has no "tank" archetype.

Verb: Taunting surrounding mobs to attack and "soaking up" the damage, while other characters use their abilities to kill the mob. Tanks are often referred to as damage sponges. As SGW is focusing on ranged combat and breaking the mage/tank/healer triumvirate tanking will not likely be a viable combat strategy in the game.

Tartarus

Noun: The planet where Anubis created the Kull warriors.

Tau'ri

Noun: Goa'uld term for humans from Earth. See Races

Thor

Noun: Supreme Commander of the Asgard Fleet, the first Asgard SG-1 encounters who made many appearances in Stargate SG-1.

Time Dialation Field

Noun: A bubble created in space time where time inside is either sped up or slowed down compared to time outside the bubble.

Tok'ra

Noun: Literally means "Against Ra". This is a group of aliens who are against the Goa'uld. They are a human / symbiote blend, much like a Goa'uld, but the host and symbiote share a body instead of the symbiote completely taking over. One can talk to either personality in any given conversation. Allies of the SGC.

Tollan

Noun: Advanced alien race that had to start their civilization over after the destruction of their home world. See Tollan

Twink

Verb: Giving a low level character money or higher level items, to make them more powerful than they would otherwise be able to acheive on their own.

Noun: A character that has been twinked.
